Few players are entering the 2024 NFL season with more hype behind them than Kansas City Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy.
After setting the 40-yard dash record at the NFL combine earlier this year, Worthy finds himself in a perfect situation with the Chiefs, who desperately needed a big-play threat in the passing game after a disappointing campaign from their receivers last season.
General manager Brett Veach made a point to upgrade the position in the offseason and Worthy’s arrival in Kansas City could prove to be the beginning of a new era for the Chiefs’ offense as they enter the 2024 season with the chance to complete a championship three-peat.
Though Andy Reid doesn’t typically rely on rookies to play key roles in his offense, Worthy may be able to break the mold and become one of the team’s stars in his first season in Kansas City.
