Chiefs’ Free Agency Signing With the Highest Upside | PFF
Kansas City Chiefs: RB Kareem Hunt
Contract: One year, $1.5 million
The Chiefs have embraced a “don’t pay your running back” approach, seemingly leaning on a mix of rookie contracts and low-level deals at the position for some time now. Kareem Hunt is the latest example, returning to the team for just $1.5 million in 2025.
Hunt brings experience and consistency. He was one of only three running backs in 2024 to record 200 or more carries and not fumble, and he handled his most rushing attempts since his rookie 2017 season. Hunt appears poised to be a significant part of the Chiefs’ backfield once again.
31 – Kansas City Chiefs
Ohio State · OT · Junior (RS)
This pick almost feels too on the nose, but with the way Philadelphia attacked Kansas City’s O-line in the Super Bowl, scooping up Simmons in this scenario seems mandatory, even though the Ohio State/San Diego State product is coming off injury and the team already signed OT Jaylon Moore. Bottom line: K.C. must do everything it can to protect Patrick Mahomes. Oregon’s Josh Conerly Jr. could also be in play for the Chiefs here.
Round 1 – Pick 31
East Carolina • Sr • 6’2” / 194 lbs
Kansas City signed Kristian Fulton to play on the boundary but in an ideal world it would still add another body to enable Trent McDuffie to move back into the slot full time. The presence of Fulton allows the franchise to bring Shavon Revel Jr. along slowly as he recovers from a serious injury.
Gardner Minshew reflects on starting his career against the Chiefs | Chiefs Wire
Minshew opened up about his 2019 NFL debut game against the Chiefs during last week’s press conference on Zoom.
“I don’t remember much,” said Minshew. “It was a blur. I remember going into the game, not expecting to play, just happy to be on the team. Unfortunately, Nick (Foles) got hurt like 12 plays in, and I went in. I remember me and my dad sitting down for dinner after, and we’re like, what the heck just happened? It was unbelievable; that was an unbelievable experience. It’s been super gratifying, super fortunate to have all the experience I’ve had in the NFL.”
Caitlin Clark to have major say in 2028 Olympic event Patrick Mahomes could be part of | talkSPORT
Flag football could gain even more national attention as there is possibility NFL stars like Patrick Mahomes could participate in it for Team USA at the Olympics.
Back in 2023 when asked about possibility playing in it, Mahomes signalled he is eager to play a part.
“I definitely want to,” the 29-year-old told reporters in 2023.
“NFL football, American football, has taken to further parts, all the way across the world, with flag football coming to the Olympics.
2025 NFL Draft: Early- and late-round options for every team’s biggest need | PFF
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: INTERIOR DEFENDER
Day 1 option: Darius Alexander, Toledo
Day 3 option: Aeneas Peebles, Virginia Tech
Preparing for the post–Chris Jones era should be at the forefront of the Chiefs’ draft plans in 2025. Alexander earned a 90.1 PFF grade last season, ranking third among all interior defensive linemen in the class.
Peebles is another strong option as a disruptive B-gap penetrator who posted a 92.1 pass-rushing grade in 2024.

Deion Sanders would be happy wherever Shedeur Sanders drafted | ESPN
“Shedeur has told me, he’s talked to me intently about all the visits he’s had with all the teams, so I know where his heart is, I know where he wants to go,” Sanders said in an interview with “The Skip Bayless Show,” in a video that was posted Wednesday. “If it’s New York, it’s New York, if it’s Tennessee, if it’s Cleveland, if it’s still the Raiders, if it’s New Orleans, if it’s any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback, I’m happy with it, man. Because I know what he’s going to do to the organization.”
Deion Sanders’ comments to Bayless are in contrast to comments he made last March, when he said on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast that, “it’s certain cities that ain’t going to happen. It’s going to be an Eli.”
Titans to feature ‘Titans blue’ as primary home jersey during 2025 NFL season | NFL.com
Tennessee is swapping primary home jerseys this season, moving from the club’s navy blue top to its light blue — affectionately known locally as “Titans blue” — jersey, the team announced on Thursday.
“We’re talking to fans and we’re listening, and there’s a clear appetite to have the Titans, their team, represented on the field in this noticeable color that has been with this team from 1960 in Houston, into Memphis, at Vanderbilt and as we’ve played at Nissan Stadium,” Titans president Burke Nihill said in a statement.
“We’re going to emphasize that this year and change to Titans blue as the primary color. As we sit here today, the plan is to wear Titans blue at every one of our home games this year.”

Chiefs Roster: Elijah Mitchell believes he can open up a lot of things
“I’m back at 100%,” he told reporters in a Zoom call last week, referring to a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the 2024 season. “I’ll be ready to go when we start back up in May — definitely.”
After his season off, Mitchell is motivated to get back to work.
“It was very challenging,” he recalled. “Just having the love for football and not being able to step on the field and compete against the best, it really weighed on me a lot. I’m hungrier than ever — and I’m ready to roll.”
While Mitchell will be among the team’s newcomers when practices begin, he feels he’ll fit in with his new team after four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
“The things they do on offense [are like] everything I did in San Francisco,” he noted, “so I’m excited for it.”
