The Kansas City Chiefs traded for veteran pass-catcher DeAndre Hopkins to add a spark to their offense after injuries decimated the defending Super Bowl champions’ receiving corps.
Though Hopkins only saw limited action in Kansas City’s Week 8 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, he was heavily featured in the Chiefs’ game plan for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”
In the second quarter of tonight’s game, Hopkins caught his first touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes, which gave Kansas City an early lead over Tampa Bay before halftime.
Chiefs players and fans were thrilled to see Hopkins snag his first touchdown catch and took to Twitter to express their excitement about his first-half performance against the Buccaneers.
