The Kansas City Chiefs continue filling our roster for the 2025 season with multiple reserve/future contracts. The running back position went through a few transitions after Isiah Pacheco’s injury in Week 2 and before the signing of Kareem Hunt.
The player forgotten during the early-season running back shuffle is Keaontay Ingram. The 25-year-old running back joined the Chiefs practice squad in late November of the 2023 season but did not play in a regular-season game until Week 3 of the 2024 season. He was elevated for the Sunday night victory over the Atlanta Falcons without a carry and was immediately returned to the practice squad once Hunt was ready.
Ingram began his professional career as a sixth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2022. He played in 20 games with Arizona, tallying 62 carries for 134 yards and a touchdown.

Although he had a brief cameo on the active roster, Ingram has earned respect in the facility and is under contract heading into next season.
