The Kansas City Chiefs will end the 2024 regular season with the NFL’s best record, but their roster has shown signs of strain over the last 17 weeks.
Injuries have devastated the defending Super Bowl champions’ depth, and as teams around the league adjust to Kansas City’s strategies, so too will the Chiefs need to reinvent their approach to ensure they can remain competitive in the years to come.
As such, expert draftnik and esteemed editor of Browns Wire Cory Kinnan sent Arizona Wildcats offensive tackle Jonah Savaiinaea and Bowling Green Falcons tight end Harold Fannin Jr. to Kansas City in his latest two-round mock draft.
Kinnan’s epic mock can be found in his ‘Daft on Draft’ newsletter, which is chock-full of interesting tidbits about the potential needs of teams around the NFL, and which prospects might be available in the first two days of the Annual Player Selection Meeting.
Though it seems likely that the Chiefs will look to bring in a player who can compete for snaps at left tackle in the 2025 NFL draft, Kansas City may decide to seek more stability for their front five by signing a veteran in free agency who can fill the role next season.
