Coming off its first-round bye, Kansas City is a 8.5-point favorite over Houston.
On Saturday, the (15-2) Kansas City Chiefs will face the (10-7) Houston Texans in a Divisional round playoff matchup on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Arrowhead Time on ESPN and ABC — locally on KMBC/9.
On Monday, FanDuel Sportsbook was favoring the first-seeded Chiefs by 7.5 points. By Friday, though, the spread had widened to 8.5 points.
But in this game, I think Kansas City has an even better chance to win. I like the Single-Game Parlay where the Chiefs cover 9.5 points, Travis Kelce collects at least one 20-yard reception and scores a touchdown. FanDuel currently has that SGP at +600.
Why? Just like in 2023, Kelce hasn’t had the regular-season production we wanted to see. But as you’ll remember, he was still amazing as the Chiefs claimed their second straight Super Bowl, recording at least one reception of 20+ yards in every one of last season’s playoff games. In all, he corralled 32 catches for 355 yards (and three touchdowns) to lead the postseason in all three statistics. He’s done that in three of the last four postseasons.
