The Kansas City Chiefs withstood a strong performance from Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers to improve their record to 10-1 on the season. The Chiefs increased their AFC-leading record to a full game with the Bills on a bye week.
Patrick Mahomes may have taken his recent fine from the NFL for celebrating last week as motivation because he was sharp throughout Sunday’s game. Noah Gray had his second consecutive game with two touchdown receptions, while Travis Kelce was effective in the middle of the field. DeAndre Hopkins also reached the end zone while Kareem Hunt continued his reliable production on the ground.
Defensively, the unit had issues with Bryce Young, and it wasn’t a promising performance down the stretch when trying to hold the lead late in the game. Mike Danna and Trent McDuffie each left the game with sacks, while the secondary battled with Panthers receivers throughout the day.
