Some notes
- Kansas City’s injury report is the same as it was on Tuesday. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee) was once again the only limited participant.
- Hardman remains on the Reserve/Injured list, as does cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle). The difference between the two is that Watson was again a full practice designation — his second since returning to practice from injury.
- Watson is trending in the right direction to return for the Divisional round game on Saturday — but in order to play, Watson (and/or Hardman) would first need to be activated to the 53-man roster.
- Defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf) and left tackle D.J. Humphries were once again full participants. Defensive back Chamarri Conner (shoulder) was injured during the team’s Week 18 loss against the Denver Broncos, but was also a full participant again.
- Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) continues to receive treatment for his high-ankle sprain, but he was a full participant.
- For the Texans, wide receiver Nico Collins was back on the practice field after being held out of Tuesday’s practice for veteran rest.
- Running back Joe Mixon (ankle) was a new addition on Wednesday, listed as a limited participant.
- Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) was limited on Wednesday after missing practice on Tuesday. A key player for Houston, Al-Shaair missed the Week 16 game against Kansas City as he served a three-game suspension for an illegal hit on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
- Right guard Shaq Mason (knee) and his backup Juice Scruggs (ankle) were both upgraded to limited participation after missing Wednesday’s practice. Mason is not expected to play against the Chiefs.
- The Texans listed both defensive end Denico Autry (knee) and tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) were again limited on Wednesday.
