In the Divisional round of the playoffs, Kansas City and Houston will meet for the second time in a month.
In the AFC’s Wild Card Weekend, all the home teams advanced to the Divisional round — which means that after a week off, the (15-2) Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to host the (10-7) Houston Texans on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) on ESPN and ABC affiliates nationwide — including KMBC/9.
This will be the third time these two teams have met in the playoffs. In the 2015 postseason, Kansas City defeated Houston 30-0 to record its first playoff win since 1993. In 2019, the Chiefs fought back from a 24-0 second-quarter deficit to claim a 51-31 win that led to their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years. Now, Kansas City hopes to begin a three-game run that will end with an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl championship.
These teams last met four weeks ago, when the Chiefs collected a 27-19 home win that pushed their record to 14-1
