The Kansas City Chiefs are on course to blow out the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17 after veteran defensive back Justin Reid intercepted quarterback Russell Wilson in the first quarter of the AFC powerhouses’ Christmas Day matchup.
Kansas City had already gotten out to a two-score first-quarter lead before Reid’s outstanding interception, and the Chiefs took possession with a chance to go up by 20 or more points on their third offensive drive.
Though plenty of time remains for Pittsburgh to claw its way back, Kansas City’s convincing performance early in the game is a clear indication that the Chiefs intend to secure the AFC’s No. 1 seed with a win over the Steelers.

Fans should expect Reid to continue making his presence felt throughout the rest of Wednesday’s game, and for Kansas City’s secondary to keep the pressure on Wilson in all four quarters.
