ESPN’s Courtney Cronin had an interesting take about “America’s Team” in the NFL on Thursday.
Cronin, who covers the Chicago Bears for ESPN, suggested that the Kansas City Chiefs should be America’s Team due to how much they’ve won over the last few years.
“You know who America’s Team is? The Kansas City Chiefs. In an era that is defined by often forced parity, you got a dynasty. We don’t have dynasties in the NFL all that often anymore,” Cronin said.

Fans were quick to debate this take on social media.
“At this point? They’re clearly America’s Team, love them or hate them,” one tweet read.
“How about we just DEAD the whole anecdote? There is no “America’s Team,” that’s the whole point for having multiple teams in America,” another tweet read.
“It’s all true,” another tweet read.
“She’s not wrong,” another fan tweeted.
The Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls and three of the last five overall. Meanwhile, the Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in nearly 30 years but they do have the best ratings in the league.
A lot of people tune in to watch the Cowboys since they’re one of the biggest brands in the United States and around the world.
