Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi, made some interesting remarks about handling the spotlight during a recent appearance on “The Mom Game” podcast.
While on the podcast, Randi Mahomes revealed that it’s tough dealing with all the attention and fame her family receives on a daily basis.
“It has been hard on all of us as a family,” Randi Mahomes said. “I don’t wish it even on my worst enemy.”
That’s not all Mahomes had to say about her family’s situation.
“I look at some of my friends either on social media or in different things, and I’m jealous that they have this normal life,” she continued, via Marca. “Their kids are the same age as Patrick and Jackson, and they have this normal situation, and we don’t. It’s super difficult.”
The majority of NFL fans are ripping Mahomes apart for these remarks. They don’t see how having “generational wealth” is tough.
“This can’t be a real quote,” one fan said. “Generational wealth must be rough.”
“No, Randi, what’s hard is working more than full time and still living paycheck to paycheck,” another person replied.
“I think it’s the fact ur family makes bad decisions but blame it on the fame tho,” a fan tweeted.
Obviously, money doesn’t buy you happiness. We’ve all been told that a million times.
Mahomes could very well struggle with the spotlight, especially since it’s on her family every single day of the week. Unfortunately, there’s really nothing she can do to change that.
