San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice lost his composure earlier this week at the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament.
Apparently, a pair of Kansas City-based reporters asked Rice if he felt like the Chiefs’ wide receivers were “good enough to win another Super Bowl” last season. That seems like a loaded question since the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in the big game.
Rice wasn’t having any of it. He told one of the reporters, “I will [expletive] you up.”
As he was walking away, Rice continued, “If you want some, come get some!”
TMZ spoke to Rice about this incident. He claims the journalists were trying to get under his skin, adding that both of them had smirks on their faces when they asked the question about the Chiefs.
“I’m going to defend the San Francisco 49ers,” Rice told TMZ. “This is my history.”
Michael J. Babcock of TMZ shared footage of the entire incident. It’s quite wild.
Jerry Rice lost it on two reporters on the golf course at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe on Thursday.

The two journalists involved in this incident have released a statement. They claim they’d love to talk to Rice again in the future.
“We meant absolutely no disrespect to Jerry or the 49ers when asking this question,” they said on Facebook.
Hopefully, both sides can move on from this bizarre altercation.
