Kansas City’s star quarterback has added a baby daughter to his growing family.
On Sunday, Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany welcomed a third child into their growing family. Golden Raye Mahomes joined her older siblings Sterling, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 2.

Mahomes was grateful that he could be fully present for the birth of his newest child, since it took place during the team’s postseason bye week.
“You can really focus in on being at the hospital and being in the moment,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “It’s a special moment that I know a lot of dads and moms have experienced — and you don’t forget about that stuff. So I’m glad I was able to be there and support the best way I can.”
Mahomes didn’t completely rule out the possibility of another child.
“I’m good with three for right now,” he said, “so we’ll see down the line, maybe. My goal was always three… we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
Mahomes has also built a special connection with Kansas City. The Chiefs are just one of several professional sports teams that have been successful in recent years.
“I think it’s (an) exciting time in the city,” he noted. “With all the different teams and how they’re performing — and obviously this has been a fun run that we’ve had with the Chiefs — but I think every year is special.”
Especially when the Chiefs’ current goal is to become the first NFL team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
“Obviously, you want to win three in a row,” he admitted, “but building those memories with the guys and with the community every single year is special.”
Mahomes treasures all of the moments he’s shared with his teammates — and the city.
“When I look back at all the different Super Bowls that we’ve won,” he shared, “I look back at special moments that we’ve had and special games that we’ve had. We’ll try to do that the same [way] this year. It’s been a fun run up to this point, but we [also] want to get to that ultimate goal. We know it’s going to be challenging.”
“We have to just really focus in on [each] day and how we can get better [to] try to win the game — [to] win the practice so that we’re prepared for the game.”
