It’s the NFL’s Wild Card Weekend. As the AFC’s No. 1 seed, the Kansas City Chiefs are taking the weekend off while six other AFC teams (and six more NFC squads) battle to advance to the Divisional round.
Here’s Saturday’s action. All times are Arrowhead Time.
- (11-6) Los Angeles Chargers (5) at (10-7) Houston Texans (4) 3:30 p.m. on CBS (KCTV/5)
- (10-7) Pittsburgh Steelers (6) at (12-5) Baltimore Ravens (3) 7 p.m. on Amazon Prime, WPXI (NBC/11-Pittsburgh) and WMAR (ABC/2-Baltimore)
The Chiefs will host the lowest remaining seed in next week’s Divisional round.
- If the Denver Broncos (7) beat the Buffalo Bills (2) on Sunday, Denver will come to Kansas City.
- If Buffalo and Pittsburgh win, then the Steelers will play the Chiefs.
- If the Bills, Ravens and Chargers win, Kansas City will host Los Angeles.
- If Buffalo, Baltimore and Houston win, the Texans will play the Chiefs.
Using Elo ratings to calculate the probable winners of these games, here’s the likelihood that each of these teams will come to Kansas City:
Opponent | Chance |
Texans | 35% |
Chargers | 32% |
Steelers | 18% |
Broncos | 16% |
