Jackson Voth (b. Nov. 25, 2005) is a young walk-on wide receiver from Cheney High School who plans on majoring in biology. He likely will redshirt and not play in 2024.
Voth prepped under head coach Shelby Wehrman at Cheney, where he led the Cardinals to a perfect 13-0 record and the school’s first state championship as a senior.
He was named to the Top 11 teams for Sports in Kansas, the Kansas Football Coaches Association and The Wichita Eagle, while he was a first-team all-state honoree by all three.
Voth also was named the 2023 Kansas Class 3A Offensive Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas and the Eagle after totaling 1,030 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 77 catches as a senior, plus 359 rushing yards and another 11 touchdowns on only 39 carries.
He tied the state record with 19 receptions in a playoff win against Andale, and also earned first team all-state honors as a junior from Sports in Kansas and the Eagle.
Voth finished his high school career with more than 3,000 all-purpose yards and 260 tackles on defense, while he set a school record with four kickoff return touchdowns.
He also competed in basketball and track, and he participated in the Kansas Shrine Bowl.
Voth chose to walk on at K-State over scholarship offers from Lindenwood, Minot State, New Mexico State (from which he de-committed), and Butler and Garden City junior colleges.
His primary recruiter was director of football recruiting Taylor Braet, assisted by wide receivers coach Matthew Middleton, his new position coach.
Voth’s mother, Alyson, played basketball at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, while his father, Matt, previously played at K-State. Watch some of his highlight film here.
