The MittieCats are in St. Joseph to take on the Blue Raiders in the Bill Snyder Classic
After a week off to finish up finals for the semester, your Kansas State Wildcats are back in action today in St. Joseph, MO at the Bill Snyder Classic.
The #13/12 MittieCats are set to take on the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State in their penultimate non-conference matchup of the regular season. The Raiders, who won the CUSA last year and won a game in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, are 7-3 to start the 2024-25 campaign. They do hold a win over Purdue in the Fort Myers Tip-Off, and two of their three losses have come to top teams away from home: Tennessee and Iowa State. The third loss is much more of a head-scratcher, a 65-52 loss last Saturday to Belmont in Nashville. The same Belmont team that K-State beat 82-56 earlier this year in Bramlage.
Regardless, this is a good test for K-State as the Cats get ramped up for Big 12 play to start later this month. It will also be a good measuring stick game, to see if they can do better than Iowa State’s 75-59 win in Fort Myers.
And they can’t let Bill Snyder down in the game that bears his name.
We’ve got a 5:00pm CT tipoff for the game this evening from Civic Arena in St. Joseph, MO, and you can catch the action on ESPN+ with Kyle Schmidt (play-by-play) and Rob Edmisson (analyst) on the call.
If you can’t access the stream, the game can be heard across portions of the 28-station K-State Sports Network with Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Randy Peterson (analyst) calling the action. The game will also be available online at K-Statesports.com and via the Varsity Network app. Live stats are also available at k-statesports.com, and social media updates (@KStateWBB) will also be a part of the coverage.
Go Cats!
