It’s Big 12 Tournament time. Can the Wildcats make a run?
It was an ugly finish, and yet, there is still more basketball left. Well, at least on game left.
It’s time for the Big 12 Tournament, and your Kansas State Wildcats managed to do well enough to get the 10-seed, and will tonight in Kansas City face off against 15-seed Arizona State. These two teams split their games, with each winning on the other’s home court, with the Wildcats eking-out a 71-70 win in Tempe, and the Sun Devils looking far more competent in a 66-54 win in Manhattan. K-State also does not have pleasant memories of this building, as the last time the Wildcats were here in KC, they lost a heart-breaker in overtime to Drake.
But throw all that out the window. It’s tournament time, and all bets are off. It’s a one-game season for these teams, and there is no tomorrow for the loser. When K-State is on, they can beat anybody in the country. But when they are off, they can easily be upset.
Can the Cats go on a run and get themselves back in post season contention? Or will it be an early off-season for Jerome Tang and his squad?
