Jacob Stonebraker (b. Oct. 1, 2005) is a tough, young linebacker prospect from Castle Rock, Colorado, who likely will redshirt in 2024, but could find playing time here and there.
He prepped under head coach Eric Rice at Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, where he was rated the top overall prospect in the state of Colorado for the Class of 2024 by ESPN, while he is viewed as the 49th-best outside linebacker nationally by Rivals.
Stonebraker was ranked as an athlete by ESPN, which placed him 32nd in the nation.
He earned all-state honors from the Colorado High School Activities Association as both a junior and senior after totaling 115 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and two interceptions during his prep career.
Stonebraker, who simply has an all-time great linebacker name, also was dangerous on offense for the Huskies, rushing for 2,180 yards and 21 touchdowns during his career.
He selected K-State over offers from Central Michigan, Colorado and UNLV, as well as interest from Air Force, Iowa State, Kansas and Nebraska.
Stonebraker’s primary recruiter was former offensive coordinator and fellow Colorado native Collin Klein, assisted by head coach Chris Klieman.
His older brother, Tyler, is a running back at Minot State University.
