Class of 2024 Paul VI (VA.) big man Patrick Ngongba is down to three schools, he announced Wednesday: Duke, Kentucky and Kansas State.
The No. 20 overall prospect is set to commit on Nov. 4.
Ngongba has visited Duke twice, Kentucky last month and will see Kansas State for a second time this weekend, per On3 Sports.
The news comes with Kentucky fresh off a commitment from five-star guard Boogie Fland and the nation’s No. 1 player Cooper Flagg set to decide between Duke and UConn this week.
Nonetheless, Ngongba will certainly impact whichever program he chooses.
“Pat brings a lot of versatility, has ability to be tough around the basket, rebound and rim protect, and has passing and decision-making skills that allow him to be very effective on the perimeter,” Paul VI coach Glenn Farello said. “He can shoot it from all ranges. High-efficiency player. Great in pick-and-roll. And is adept at all ball screen coverages.”
