Kansas State made a gutsy call in overtime against Texas on Saturday.
Facing fourth & goal from inside the five-yard line in overtime, Kansas State opted to go for it instead of kicking a field goal. A field goal would’ve sent the game to double overtime but Wildcats head coach Chris Klieman wasn’t having it.
He wanted to win the game on that play but it didn’t work out. The Longhorns defense stood tall and sealed the game.
This has college football fans questioning the decision from Klieman.
“If you’re Chris Klieman, what the hell are doing going for that on 4th down? Texas offense was absolutely anemic. Get a TD in 2OT and it’s curtains. What a horrible decision,” one tweet read.

Don’t know about that, Chris Klieman. Your D was playing fine.

Klieman is a great coach. Going for it will play well on Twitter. It was a stupid call. Very very stupid. https://t.co/3iOPqD4MDh

Chris Klieman has done a really nice job at K-State but that was some atrocious red zone play calling today.

“I don’t like that call by Klieman at all! Murphy was struggling big time. Take the 3 points and go to the next OT. They had the momentum,” another tweet read.

I’m sorry… but that was a horrific decision by Chris Klieman.
UT’s offense was being led by a QB that hadn’t done anything since the first quarter.
Everything is on K-State’s side if you just keep playing.

With the win, the Longhorns are now 8-1 while the Wildcats are 6-3
