Referees take heat from college football fans every CFB Saturday. But folks who watched Kansas State vs. Tulane are putting a little extra on it following a controversial ending that many believe should’ve at least resulted in overtime.
As the Green Wave drove down the field late, a questionable offensive pass interference call erased what could’ve been a touchdown to potentially tie the game. Two plays later, the Wildcats sealed the game with a last-second pick.
Safe to say people weren’t happy:
“Tulane scores 2 plays before the interception. Refs took it away because of Offensive PI (pick play). How in the world is this a pick on an offensive WR? Kansas State gets saved by the refs!” a fan exclaimed.
“The refs in the Tulane game have to be investigated, fired, and placed in prison,” another said. “What a disgrace.”
“them refs should never ref a game again completely robbed Tulane took points off the board for a phony ass call,” a user commented.
“One of the worst offensive pass interferences calls you’ll see in the Tulane game. Ref should be fired. What a joke,” replied SportsTalkATL.

It’s an unfortunate ending for what was shaping up to be one of the better games of the weekend. Nevertheless, K-State survives and moves to 2-0 on the young season.
Next up is a Top 25 test against Tetairoa McMillan, Noah Fifita and the feisty Arizona Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 PM ET on FOX.
