If the No. 7 Texas Longhorns lose today’s game against the No. 23 Kansas State Wildcats the fans are going to have the referees in their crosshairs for the rest of the week.
Late in today’s game, with the game tied and Texas driving deep in K-State territory, Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy tried to find wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the endzone. But Worthy’s arm appeared to be grabbed and held at the line of scrimmage, knocking him off his route for what wound up being an incomplete pass.
To the dismay of fans at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium no flag was thrown. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian was livid, but forced to settle for a field goal, which Bert Auburn converted to give Texas a 30-27 lead.
That didn’t sit well enough with fans. But many in the comments pointed out that Texas wouldn’t be in this position if they hadn’t given up a 20-point lead in the first place:

“Missed flag maybe.. but they deserve to have blown this lead. All-time collapse. Maybe the D bails them out,” one fan mused.
“Missed flag. But Texas should’ve played better we can’t whine about a no call here,” wrote another.
“B12 ref are the worst in college football,” a third declared.
The game is being played on Fox.
