The athletic center entered the portal, only to return
Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, KU’s 5 star freshman center Flory Bidunga will return to Lawrence for his freshman year.
The news comes just a week after he announced his entry to the transfer portal, though at the time it was noted that returning to Kansas remained an option.
Bidunga was largely behind both Hunter Dickinson and KJ Adams for playing time last year, but with both players gone and incoming freshman Bryson Tiller the only other big man on the roster at this time, the path to starter’s minutes at the center spot seems obvious for Bidunga.
In his freshman year, Bidunga was an excellent rebounder with flashes of great rim protection potential, but had issues with fouls and a limited offensive game. An incredible athlete, Bidunga could flourish in his second year with the right adjustments and improvements to his overall game.
