Darryn Peterson, the five-star Class of 2025 shooting guard from Huntington Prep (WV), had an “awesome” visit to Kansas, his father told ZAGSBLOG.
“The visit was awesome,” Darryl Peterson said. “Coach [Bill] Self and his staff did an amazing job of laying out the plan they have for Darryn as far development and role he will play on the team as well as opportunities that going to a place with such rich basketball history like Kansas could afford a kid like Darryn. Very exciting.”
“They see Darryn as the face of the program.”

Peterson is working with a top eight of Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Ohio State, Baylor, Indiana and Michigan. He took an official visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness in October.
Peterson is considered one of the top prospects in high school basketball regardless of class and a future NBA lottery pick.
“He’s a killer,” one NBA scout told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s my favorite to watch.
“And I like his approach. He goes hard at everyone.”
