Former Kansas Jayhawks star and fourth overall pick Josh Jackson is reportedly facing a federal lawsuit for the alleged rape of a woman at a New York hotel last year.
Per Shreyas Laddha and Luke Nozicka of the Kansas City Star, the former KU standout is accused of not only raping the woman in question but also orchestrating a robbery and sending two other women to home address to threaten her afterwards.

According to Laddha, “The woman, listed in court records as Jane Doe, had been waiting for months to see if the U.S. Judge would allow her to proceed in the case while maintaining her anonymity. He approved of maintaining her anonymity on Thursday.”
The suit, filed earlier this year, has levied assault and battery charges against Jackson. In a statement from the plaintiff’s lawyer, Seamus Barrett, the attorney said: “This case is not about money for the [woman]. It is about making sure the defendants, including Mr. Jackson, are held to account for their outrageous and unlawful actions.”
Jackson was a one-and-done at Kansas in 2016 where he averaged 16.3 points per game and was named All-Big 12, Big 12 All-Freshman and Big 12 Rookie of the Year. He played five seasons in the NBA with the Suns, Grizzlies, Pistons and Kings.
