Kansas heads across the border for some still unknown reason (no, it wasn’t money) to take on the irrelevant Tigers of Missouri.
KU enters the contest at 7-1 and ranked #1 in the latest AP Poll, although that will be changing shortly due to the abysmal showing in Omaha on Wednesday. Meanwhile, unranked Missouri is also off to a 7-1 start. KenPom has the Jayhawks at #9 and the Tigers at #59. Notably, KenPom also notes that Missouri has played the weakest schedule so far this season, ranking it 364 (out of 364).
Kansas owns a 176-95 all-time lead over Missouri, with the Jayhawks winning the previous five consecutive meetings. Last time out saw a rather disappointing 73-64 KU win in Lawrence back in December of 2023.
The Jayhawks are coming off a 76-63 loss at Creighton, while the Tigers are coming off a 98-93 home win over Cal.
Here are the essentials:
The Numbers
#1 Kansas: 7-1, 0-0 Big 12
Missouri: 7-1, 0-0 SEC
Line: Kansas -6.5
