On Friday afternoon Kansas announced a special guest would be with the basketball program.
Hollywood star Jason Sudeikis visited the program before a huge showdown against UConn on Friday night. When the game kicked off, though, he jumped around the arena visiting with various groups.
He spent time with Jayhawks fans, the Kansas band and even found a set of pompoms to do cheers with with the cheerleading squad.
“The newest addition to the cheer squad for tonight’s game @jasonsudeikis!! Rock chalk,” Kansas’ NIL collective said in a message on social media.

Sudeikis was born in Virginia, but moved to Kansas with his family and considers it his home state. His ties to the state paid off on Friday night as the Jayhawks took down UConn by a final score of 69-65 to improve to 7-1 on the season.
The Jayhawks won’t face another ranked team until January.
