Can Kansas salvage the season with a 6th win?
We all know what’s on the line here. Kansas got off to a 1-5 start and now, after the toughest stretch of games this season, they sit at 5-6 with a chance to go bowling. To go that, however, will require beating yet another solid team in Baylor. They’ll have to do so in Waco as well, where Baylor, 7-4 overall, is 4-1 this year.
This is an early kickoff of ESPN2. Kansas, somewhat surprisingly, is a 1 point road favorite after reeling off 3 consecutive wins over ranked teams. Bowl games mean an extended season with extra practice, and add some prestige to a season that in many other ways people might be quick to forget. Kansas has never gone bowling in three consecutive seasons, so a win would turn what looked like a disastrous year early on into a program record-breaking achievement.
No pressure, though
Let’s go Jayhawks!
