As of Wednesday, ome 34 NBA scouts have been credentialed for Friday’s game between No. 4 UConn and No. 5 Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse (9 p.m. ET, ESPN), a Kansas spokesman told ZAGSBLOG.
The game features a showdown between the last two NCAA champions in the Jayhawks (2022) and the Huskies (2023) as well as a slew of pro prospects.
UConn freshman guard Steph Castle, who is questionable for the game as he makes his way back from a knee procedure, and sophomore big man Donovan Clingan are both projected lottery picks in 2024, per ESPN.com.
Sophomore forward Alex Karaban and graduate guard Tristen Newton, who has posted a program record three triple-doubles, are also pro prospects. UConn sophomore Samson Johnson has also played very well of late.
Kansas features graduate guard Kevin McCullar, Jr., senior big man Hunter Dickinson and freshman guard Elmarko Jackson, ranked the No. 23 prospect in 2024 by ESPN.
The Dickinson-Clingan matchup should be especially fun to watch.
