Upset Alert: No. 6 Oklahoma is on the brink of losing their first game of the season to one of college football’s ascending teams.
With less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of today’s game against Kansas, OU held a 21-20 lead. But a fumble by OU running back Jalil Farooq set the Jayhawks up at the 38-yard line.
It took only one play for Kansas quarterback Jason Bean to run the ball up the right side and into the endzone for a beautiful 38-yard touchdown and a 26-21 lead. However, the two point conversion attempt failed, opening the door for Oklahoma to retake the lead with just two minutes left in the game.
The Sooners have won 18 straight games against the Jayhawks with Kansas’ last win against Oklahoma coming all the way back in 1997.

Kansas are 5-2 and need just one more win to reach bowl eligibility for the second year in a row.
Win or lose, the Jayhawks are clearly ascending.
The game is being played on FS1.
