Kansas football lost a big name in the transfer portal with freshman defensive end DJ Warner announcing Thursday on X that he would be entering the transfer portal. Warner played in every game this season and was a massive get in the 2024 recruiting class for the Jayhawks as the highest rated prospect in recent school history. The former four-star recruit chose Kansas over big-name schools such as Ohio State, Michigan and Texas but will likely depart after spending just a year with Kansas. Warner will have three years of eligibility left on his new squad.

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self was hit with his first technical foul of the season on Wednesday night in KU’s, 76-63, loss to Creighton on the road. Self was assessed the technical foul during a timeout at the 15:58 mark of the second half, with KU trailing 49-40.
