Dickinson Scores 19 Points to Help No. 17 Kansas Past Colorado, 71-59 – University of Kansas
“We did some good things,” said Kansas head coach Bill Self. “Statistically, we guarded them pretty well. But that first three minutes of the second half was about as poor as we can play. I thought our bench tonight was okay. But, other than David (Coit) and Flory (Bidunga), we didn’t get many other contributions.”

Indiana basketball coaching search 2025: Two names the Hoosiers must pursue, including Rick Pitino – CBSSports.com
Frankly, it’s still too early to know who will really have interest in the job because most of these guys are busy coaching their teams. So rather than come up with a completely different list of potential candidates or run through each and every one of these guys again, we have instead decided to discuss a few from the list that we like or dislike as coaches to sit in the first chair in Assembly Hall.

Lessons other NFL teams can learn from Eagles’ Super Bowl domination: Build the lines, embrace hard times – CBSSports.com
The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t just win Super Bowl LIX. They embarrassed the Kansas City Chiefs, preventing the reigning champions from coming even remotely close to the historic “three-peat” they talked all week about achieving. And now, just like that, the rest of the NFL will be tasked with following in the Eagles’ footsteps, trying to lay the foundation for a title run of their own come 2025.
Oakley builds momentum for regionals with strong showing at Phillipsburg tourney | Western Kansas girls wrestling standouts – Kansas State High School Activities Association
Oakley’s girls wrestling team came agonizingly close to a team state championship a year ago. The Plainsmen were in strong position to secure the Class 4-1A title before Rossville rode a perfect storm in the finals to edge Oakley by the slimmest of margins – 0.5 points – for the team title.
“A quiet 64:” Marysville’s Otott enjoys surreal scoring night in overtime win over Centralia | North Central Kansas basketball standouts – Kansas State High School Activities Association
“During the course of the game, I really had no idea,” Otott said. “But if you’d asked me after the game, I’d said I’d (scored) in the 30s, maybe 40.” Otott was right. He had no idea.
Not only did he surpass his previous career high in the Bulldogs’ 82-78 overtime win over Centralia, he nearly doubled it. That’s right, nearly doubled it.
2007 – CFB
2007 was the year the sports world turned upside-down. Perhaps fittingly, the calendar year began with a pair of huge upsets to cap off the 2006 season, including the triumph of an unheralded mid-major from Boise, Idaho over one of the great blue-bloods of the sport. But that was just the beginning. As August gave way to September, polls, predictions and previews all fell by the wayside. A season that began with the winningest college football program of all time losing to a lowly FCS squad from the hills of Appalachia would end with the first-ever two-loss team to win the BCS national title. In between there was chaos, drama, and a dizzying series of upsets after upsets. No favorite was safe, no underdog was without hope, and no fan could have asked for more entertaining, season-altering twists. It was a joyride of a year.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Comments on the Trump administration | Opinion | kansan.com
Luckily, the national constitution is not the only constitution we have. Our beloved sunflower state of Kansas has its own constitution. It is not marred by the history of slavery in its text. Indeed, it outright prohibits it in our bill of rights. Kansas has never shied away from fighting for what is right, be it John Brown, or any other Kansan who spilt blood in the crusade against slavery. What must be done shall be as radical and shocking as the raid on Harper’s Ferry, as daring and vengeful as the response to Quantrill’s raid at Pottawatomie: Kansans, we must secede from this Union.
