Class of 2025 five-star power forward Bryson Tiller has signed to Kansas, the school announced on Saturday.
Tiller — the 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward out of Overtime Elite — chose Kansas over his other finalists Auburn, Georgia Tech and Indiana.
“Kansas has a rich history,” Tiller said of his decision. “They are known for putting out players in my position. So I feel like if I go there and do what I need to do, then I will have no problem being the next person.”
Bill Self is hot on the recruiting trail, specially with Overtime Elite prospects. Tiller is the second player from the organization to commit this week, following Samis Calderon. Kansas also has 2025’s No. 3 overall prospect Darryn Peterson signed.
“Me and Samis are good friends,” Tiller said. “We know how to play off each other pretty well. It’s going to be a good experience going out there with him and winning.”
Before Tiller’s commitment, Kansas had the No. 20 overall 2025 recruiting class via 247Sports. This addition will likely bring the Jayhawks into the top-10. Kansas joins Arkansas, Duke and Houston as schools with two top-20 prospects committed.
“We are excited about Bryson,” Self said. “We feel like he’s a top 10 player in this class that hasn’t had a chance to play the last six months with an ankle injury. His upside is undeniable, and he’s been well trained. Bryson provides a versatility for us that he can play some five, but he can also play the four, very similar to the way KJ (Adams) has in his KU career.”
Tiller was part of the City Reapers squad that won the OTE finals in 2024. He’s looking for a repeat with the Reapers this season.
“Bryson embodies everything that OTE stands for, and he’s been a force since the day he joined as our first sophomore,” OTE head of competition Damien Wilkins said. “Watching him put in the work and develop into the player he’s become has been a pleasure. His leadership, unmatched work ethic and patience through adversity have laid an amazing foundation for what he will bring to the next level.”
