Watch your Royals take down the Bronx Bombers!
The Royals continue their surprising march through the playoffs with a spot in the American League Divisional Series against the New York Yankees. This best-of-five playoff format will include the first playoff games in Kansas City since the Royals won it all in 2015.
The series will begin in Yankee Stadium, home of the top seed New York Yankees on Saturday evening at 5:38 CT (that’s right, 17:38. If you know, you know.) The game will air on TBS, truTV, and Max with Bob Costas and Ron Darling on the call. Michael Wacha is scheduled to face Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole. Game 2 will air Monday evening at 6:38 CT from Yankee Stadium, on TBS and Max with Cole Ragans scheduled to face left-hander Carlos Rodón. The game airs opposite the Chiefs Monday Night Football game against the Saints.
Game 3 will take place in Kansas City on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:08 CT. If necessary, Game 4 will be on Thursday, October 10 in Kansas City at 7:08 CT while Game 5 will be back in New York on Saturday, October 12 at 7:08 CT. Those games will air on TBS, truTV, and Max.
Games will stream on any platform that carries TBS or Max, as well as MLB TV for those viewers who are authenticated subscribers to those networks via a participating pay TV provider.
Games are also available on the Royals Radio Network, including 96.5 The Fan and 610 Sports in Kansas City. You can also listen on ESPN Radio, carried locally by 810 WHB, with Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez in the booth with Tim Kurkjian as an analyst.
The winner of the series will take on the winner of the Cleveland Guardians/Detroit Tigers series for the right to go to the World Series.
