The prospects shine in Arizona.
Royals top hitting prospects Carter Jensen and Jac Caglianone each hit their first home run of spring training as the Royals battled back to beat the White Sox 4-3 to remain undefeated.
Kris Bubic made his first start of the spring training as he competes for a rotation spot. After a quick 1-2-3 inning, he got Josh Rojas to hit a routine fly ball to left. But Jonathan India is still learning to play the outfield, and he lost the ball in the sun for a double. Bubic almost worked around the misplay, but Lenyn Sosa hit a two-out single to put the White Sox on the board. Those were the only runners Bubic allowed on base in two innings, with two strikeouts mixed in, with 20 his 27 pitches going for strikes.
The Royals got that run back in the third when catcher Carter Jensen launched a 416-foot blast off pitcher James Karinchak, his first home run of spring training.

Non-roster invitees Tyson Guerrero and Thomas Hatch each tossed two shutout innings of relief. Corey Julks hit a two-run home run off Austin Cox in the seventh to give the White Sox the lead.
But the Royals again battled back in part from a blast from another top Royals hitting prospect. Jac Caglianone made his first spring training hit count with a 435-foot solo home run.

That rattled White Sox pitcher Trey McGough, who walked the next two hitters. Royals catcher Kyle Hayes tied the game up with a double to score Peyton Wilson. Infielder Jack Pineda, up from minor league camp, singled home Gavin Cross to make it 4-3 Royals.
Overall the two teams combined for just nine hits. The only Royals regular to collect a hit was Michael Massey, who singled. Royals pitchers combined for nine strikeouts on the day with four walks.
The Royals will take on the Athletics tomorrow at 2:05, which you can listen to on 96.5 The Fan.
