One more in New York
It’s a big day in Kansas City: the Chiefs are playing Monday Night Football while the Royals are playing against the Yankees in the postseason. Personally, I could not possibly care less about the 4-0 Chiefs, who are coming off two straight Super Bowl wins, play a random game against the New Orleans Saints of all teams. But it’s gonna be a great night at sports bars everywhere in the city.
For the Royals, it’s game 2 and the Yanks are leading 1-0, which means the Royals need to win today’s game lest they force themselves into three consecutive must-win games to advance.
Max posted some thoughts on the Royals/Yankees game 2 lineups, but in a condensed format, here’s the gist: the Royals are sending their ace, Cole Ragans, to the mound. Against Yankees lefty starter Carlos Rodon, they are going with a right-handed heavy lineup with Maikel Garcia leading off and Hunter Renfroe and Garrett Hampson in place of MJ Melendez and Kyle Isbel, respectively.
