Royals Acquire Leadoff Man And Outfielder From Reds
What India, Singer, And Weimer Will Offer
The Royals have bolstered their lineup and have acquired their leadoff man, setting the tone for the 2025 season. Since India joined the Reds in 2021, he has showcased leadership, moxie, and earnestness through strong efforts to be a positional player. While India is a second-baseman, he has experience in multiple positions. He can also play first, third, designated hitter, and left field. India will be missed in a Reds uniform, as he wore it with dignity.
With his young age, India is not done showcasing his talent. Singer sported a 9-13 record with a 3.71 ERA along with 170 strikeouts across 179.2 innings pitched. Singer also has five years of experience in MLB and showcased a decent 2024 season overall. Looking at Wiemer, a 25-year-old outfielder who played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2023. He can provide potential as a former top-100 prospect. In addition, he could even possibly get the opportunity to play center field.
