Spring Training
The Royals faced off against the Athletics and tied. Yes, they tied—a weird thing for baseball, but that’s Spring Training for you. It was a low-scoring 1-1 game with very little offense. Utilityman hopeful Cavan Biggio hit a home run for the Royals’ one run in the game.
Biggio bomb!
On the pitching side, Royals farmhand Steven Zobac gave up the one run on the Athletics side, a single off the bat of Luis Urias.
A total of 24 different Royals played in today’s game, including 18 hitters and six pitchers. Cole Ragans started the game and got a pair of innings, notching a pair of strikeouts and giving up a pair of singles.
