But they got the last laugh.
You need to carry yourself with some confidence to perform on the post-season stage. But there’s a fine line between a little bit of swagger and generally behaving like a buffoon.
Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón got off to a terrific start in his Game 2 outing against the Royals, with TBS broadcaster Ron Darling proclaiming he had “no-hit stuff.” The lefty seemed to relish in his performance, sticking out his tongue and celebrating after each strikeout.

Rodón was feeling himself, but perhaps he started celebrating his performance a bit too early. He worked around a bit of trouble in the third, but Salvy led off the fourth with a home run to tie things up. And if you watched Salvy, you saw that he didn’t seem to take kindly to Rodón’s theatrics.

Royals hitters would score three more runs in the inning, knocking Rodón out of the game before the fourth inning was over. The Royals would go on to take Game 2 by a 4-2 score, tying up the series as it heads to Kansas City.
