I wanted a photo from Surprise Stadium but I couldn’t find one so you get this instead.
The Kansas City Royals welcome the Colorado Rockies to Surprise as they look to keep their strong spring going. The Royals have won all four of their games so far, while the Rockies are 4-1 themselves. Michael Wacha will make his Spring Training debut today. Some other guys will presumably also pitch.
How about the lineup? Well, it is certainly one of the lineups that I’ve ever seen. Joey Weimer will hit leadoff in his fourth appearance, still looking for his first hit of the spring. The meat of the order includes Michael Massey at DH and MJ Melendez hitting cleanup, a truly fearsome alignment. The bottom of the lineup is minor leaguers, including Tyler Tolbert starting at shortstop. Check out the full order below.
