Dodgers vs. Yankees, who ya got?
The World Series begins tonight, with two of the most decorated franchises in baseball set to square off. It is the 12th time the Dodgers and Yankees have met in the World Series, but the first time since 1981.
The 94-win Yankeees got here by beating the Royals and Guardians, while the 98-win Dodgers bested the Padres and Mets.
Gerrit Cole (8-5, 3.41 ERA) has a career 2.98 ERAR in 20 post-season games, but this is just his third start in the World Series, his only other appearance coming in 2019 with the Astros.
